Deflating Tires and Drying Components

Tires are another major concern when your vehicle is stationary for an extended period. A sitting vehicle’s tires gradually lose tire pressure, making it essential to double-check your inflation levels when hopping behind the wheel. For best results, take your ride for a spin at least once per week to avoid deflation and the gradual appearance of flat spots in the tire. Other components of your vehicle, such as the timing belt, require a spin occasionally, or they can start to dry out and become brittle. Over time, the parts can start to dry to the point of crumbling or breakage.
